WoW TBC Classic Anniversary Boost Your Gear Quickly after Level 70 | Don't Enter Raids Naked!
Category: WoW TBC Classic Anniversary Posted: Feb 11, 2026 Views: 1205
WoW TBC Classic Anniversary raid will officially launch on February 19th, and this is one of the ultimate challenges of Phase 1. You need to be at least level 70 to participate.
However, simply reaching level 70 doesn't guarantee you'll be effective in raids; more importantly, you need sufficiently powerful gear. To quickly improve your strength, here are some methods to provide you with suitable gear.

Reputation And PvP Gear
First, open your reputation panel and find the following five factions:
- Honor Hold (Alliance) / Thrallmar (Horde)
- Cenarion Expedition
- The Sha'tar
- Keepers of Time
- The Scale of the Sands
As a newly level 70 character, you're unlikely to have Revered reputation with any faction, but if you leveled to 70 through dungeons, you're likely to have at least Honored or Exalted reputation with some of these factions.
These five factions are important because they are crucial for WoW TBC Classic Anniversary, once you reach Honored reputation with a player in one of these factions, you can directly trade a set of level 70 PvP gear from the quartermaster. For a newly leveled character primarily focused on PvE activities, this PvP gear can still provide a significant boost.
Besides PvP gear, you can also acquire useful PvE gear. However, you'll need to check the items offered by different quartermasters, as not every quartermaster will have the items you need, and you might have to travel between factions.
Honor And Battleground Marks
If you've accumulated Honor and Battleground Marks during the preparatory period, now's the time to use them. You can exchange these resources for PvP gear in Stormwind City (Alliance) or Orgrimmar (Horde). The rare quality PvP gear has stats comparable to gear sold by the quartermaster.
How to Use Gold?
If you accumulate some gold while leveling, there are two main uses:
First, use it on Auction House to acquire various rare or epic items, which usually meet the minimum requirements for joining raid groups.
Second, upgrade your professions. Higher professions allow you to craft some pretty good epic items early on, increasing your chances of being invited to dungeons and raids.
If you choose a gathering profession and plan to acquire resources through quests after level 70, consider investing your gold in an epic flying mount, as it greatly improves movement speed. In the early stages of Phase 1, raw materials are usually in short supply. Having an epic flying mount will help you gather resources efficiently and earn a lot of WoW TBC Classic Anniversary gold.
If your plan is to focus on dungeon farming, you can use your gold to trade for powerful, crafted, bind-to-use gear, and for some classes, these are even pre-bis gear.
Dungeons And Quests
If the above methods don't suit you, then your core path is to start farming dungeons to increase your reputation. Your goal is to obtain new Rare gear.
How to Determine The Best Dungeons?
First, you need to determine which gear you need. You can check the pre-bis gear list or ask in the player forums. Find them according to your class and specialization, and see where they drop.
Level Cap Quests
Some quests can be done after you reach the level cap. These quest chains not only provide the gear you want but also a lot of gold. You can also do these quests before reaching the level cap, in which case the gold reward will be converted into XP.
Complete Karazhan Quests
Besides doing quests and running normal dungeons, start doing Karazhan quests. The portal questline is also crucial. You can start a series of pre-raid quests at the raid entrance. After about 20 minutes, you'll receive your first raid quest: Entering Shadow Labyrinth. Completing the portal quest chain not only grants you entry into Karazhan, but the various raid entrances along the chain usually also have additional quests rewarding rare gear.
Obtaining Heroic Dungeons Keys
Next, you should focus on raising your reputation with your main faction to Revered. Once Revered, you can trade Heroic Keys from the corresponding quartermasters. For example, the keys to Honor Hold or Thrallmar allow you to enter Heroic difficulty dungeons in Hellfire Citadel Dungeons.
The main benefit of running Heroic raids is the better loot and Badge of Justice. Don't forget to accept the daily Heroic quest in Shattrath City. Simply defeating the final boss of a Heroic dungeon and looting the quest item will earn you two additional Badges of Justice. Accumulated Badges of Justice can be exchanged for various epic items. in the central area of Shattrath City.
Participate in PvP
Even if you're focused on PvE, it's recommended to participate in as many PvP activities as possible to acquire PvP gear.
Complete Daily PvP Quests
Make sure to pick up daily PvP quests in Shattrath City every day. Completing these quests will earn you extra honor and three Battleground Marks.
Arena
Arena season begins on February 17th, two days earlier than the opening of major raids (February 19th). This gives you some time to engage in Arena activities. Even if you're a PvE player, you can give it a try, as you can acquire Gladiator Weapons.
A major change in WoW TBC anniversary is that you only need to reach Arena Rating 1700 for vendors to sell these weapons to you, while all groups start at 1500. Therefore, reaching this rating isn't too difficult.
Also, items such as shields, off-hand weapons, and throwing weapons will be sold directly by vendors without any Arena Rating requirement.
Before Karazhan raid unlocks, you have many things to do to improve your gear. It's recommended that after you reach the level cap, you start by increasing your faction reputation, and then gradually upgrade your equipment.
